Re: Microsoft buy Activision Blizzard for $70bn

If it's all about getting more titles on Game Pass to push their subscription model usercount through the roof then EA wont be as big a target because they already did the deal with them to put all their titles on there via EA Play.

Re: Everyone seen it....except you

I'm a big western fan in general and I love Tombstone too. I'm really into all the gangster movies as well so I've seen pretty much everything everyone seems to have missed in this thread. My partner and I went through the IMDB top 200 list a few years ago and ticked off a huge chunk of it that we'd...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

So he's either a liar or serially incompetent and didn't even know his own rules which he briefed daily. Not a great look.

Every single one of the cabinet who have been on TV defending him over this all make my skin crawl. Absolute scumbags.

Re: Microsoft buy Activision Blizzard for $70bn

Presumably these talks were ongoing prior to all the bad press Acti-Blizz had late last year. Still, not a great look if they just sweep all the issues under the carpet and don't do some major restructuring of teams and smoke out all the bad eggs. I was kind of hoping that Microsoft would fund some ...

Re: BBC 2027

I wonder what the impact would be on the wider BBC Culture and World Service stuff. It is quite an influential British soft power around the world regardless of how lacklustre the programming has been lately.

Not at all for this week.

How are people's calendars looking for a possible session next Saturday?

Re: D&D Interlude: The Vault of the Lady Fortune

Schedules don't align for this week unfortunately.

Next Monday is a no go too but it's good to at least know we may have the option for a while.

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

Similar side effects for me with my Moderna booster, big difference to the first two Pfizer jabs. Had it early in the morning and by the late evening I was starting to feel pretty achy, then the next morning for most of the working day I just felt exhausted and every joint and muscle ached like the ...

Not something I've noticed personally. Are you posting from the full post editor or using the quick reply box at the bottom of the threads?

Re: Weight Loss and Health Thread!

I had it for a while when I was being lazy and a gym nut from work bought way too much and gave me a couple of bags at discount. It's horrible on its own but I did make a couple of alright smoothies out of it. Overall though I'm not too sure of the long term health implications of the stuff and I do...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

A 32 bottle wine fridge it was. 32 bottles a week which they sent someone down to the local Tesco to load up into a suitcase to bring back. The civil service used to have a really boozy culture in general. Our old offices used to have a full bar in the break area and people would get pissed at lunch...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

Yikes, there's more leaks coming out now about "wine time Friday" happening every week at No.10 to the extent that the staff bought a fridge to keep the wine in all throughout the pandemic and that whilst Johnson only attended a few of them he was well aware of it the whole time and often stopped to...

Re: D&D Interlude: The Vault of the Lady Fortune

That's good then, the issue is striking the right balance because sometimes you might be in an area listening to the same track for quite a while so I don't want it being so loud that is begins to grate. I've mostly used the stock tracks that are more ambient so far but as we focus in on various par...

Re: Switch & Nintendo News/Discussion

I pretty much feel the same way, Raid. I haven't really properly enjoyed a Pokemon game since Crystal way back on the GBC when it still had an element of challenge with the puzzle areas and tougher gyms. I feel like the series peaked when you finished the Johto section of the game and they dropped t...
